Famous Dave’s Tanning Mousse – Gold Edition

Right so I have been wanting to try Famous Dave tanners since I went to a gorgeous Bourjois blogger event and one of the PR ladies was completely raving about it.

Now I feel so much better with a bit of colour, so using fake tanners that work well is incredibly important to me.
Famous Dave kindly sent me their tanning mousse to try, along with their tanning mitt.
In preparation for it’s arrival, I let my previous tan fade and then did a little scrub on application day. Now I would normally tan before I go to bed for optimum results and to give the tan the longest time to develop undisturbed, but I was out for the evening on the day it came, so wasn’t able to do this.
But desperate to try it out, I did it before work the next day. I had a quick scrub in the shower, dried off and then set to work.
The mousse went on really easily. The colour guide is fairly dark so you can clearly see where you have covered.  It blends in nicely and I covered my whole body really fast.
Its immediate result is great. I found the colour particularly flattering on my face. I stayed in my dressing gown for a few minutes but to be honest it was dry pretty much immediately. So I got dressed, did my make up and went off to work.
I made sure that I just washed the palms of my hands for the first few hours and after that I got on with things as usual.
The instant colour is beautiful and I had a gorgeous sun kissed glow that just got nicer and nicer as the day went on. If you were white and pasty and you needed to fix it fast and get a little dress on, you could definitely use Famous Dave’s Tanning Mousse to do that.
I didn’t notice any smell during application or while it developed, which is extremely unusual for any self-tan product and a major bonus.
I was out the whole day and evening and there was no transfer of the guide colour to speak of at all. I showered the next morning and was left with a lovely, even and incredibly natural looking colour. I didn’t even feel inclined to wear makeup that day such was the flattering effect on my face.
I had it on for 5 days and it has faded very slowly and evenly. I wanted to do another application to freshen up the lovely brown glow. I did a light scrub and applied it again. It went on just as easily as it did before. I did it in the evening this time, slept on it, showered in the morning and it looked completely gorgeous and brown and fresh again. So, in summary, I completely LOVE it. More than that, I ADORE it!

The Mousse is paraben and fragrance free.

Don’t be discouraged by the price, it really is the best sunless-tanning product out there! Everything about it is good quality, and if you are not satisfied the company will give you a full refund. No traces of orange on my skin, just a golden tan. No streaks, either. Truly worth the money :)

I would absolutely love to try it but I just cannot get past the St Moritz stuff because it is so cheap!

All these amazing tan brands need to bring down their prices for the poor people lol x
