ShelterBox is an international disaster relief charity that provides emergency shelter and life-saving supplies to families around the world who are affected by disasters. In ten short years ShelterBox have responded to earthquakes, floods, volcanoes, tsunamis, hurricanes, landslides, typhoons and conflict, delivering lifesaving aid to families across the globe at a time when they need it the most.
Jameela said: ‘After hearing about the excellent work ShelterBox carries out in areas that desperately need aid, I couldn’t wait to be involved and show my support. Simply by donating something that I no longer need, I could be providing some much needed help to people that desperately need it in areas such as Haiti, Japan or Pakistan.’
Now I have to admit that I have written this post rather late and the Pop Up Shop that I wanted to tell you about is now closed. I wondered whether I had missed the boat on writing this post at all. And then I thought, better late than never!
Shelterbox is an amazing, responsible and relevant charity. Donations are throughly transparent and you can even track the disaster relief box that your donation has funded.
