All you have to do, as the name would suggest, is wear something pink on the 28th October 2011. It could be an item of pink clothing, a slick of pink makeup, or go pink head to toe if you like!! The main thing is that you join in, get ‘in the pink’ in your own way, and donate £2 to Breast Cancer Campaign.
And why not get a group of you together and create a massive pink glow!!?? Fabbie!
I’m sure you have tonnes of ideas of how to get involved, but just in case, here are some of the ways that I would do it.
Easy-peasy – wear a pink dress. This one is from Zara.
If this feels a bit Summery for the end of October, you can wear it with thick tights to keep you warm and you’ll inject a fab bit of colour into everyone’s day.
Get creative with makeup and try a catwalk look.
This is a look straight from London Fashion Week at the Clements Ribeiro SS12 show, which I was lucky enough to be backstage at. The super talented Cassie Lomas created this soft but edgy look for Bourjois. It actually uses blush on the eyes – this is Round Pot Blush in Cendre de Rose Brune from Bourjois.
And if that’s too much, how about a good old slick of pink lipstick?
This is one of my fave lip colours at the moment. It’s one of the new Colour Elixirs from Max Factor. This one is English Rose 510. The Colour Elixirs are super moisturising so excellent for Winter lips.
One in eight women is diagnosed with breast cancer every year and wear it pink helps to fund vital research into a disease which affects so many people. So get ready to wear it pink and be part of the cure!
