Face of the Day – New Things from Dior

ReallyRee Face of the Day
This here is my first go at Diorskin Forever foundation. And I completely love it. No primer here just lovely fresh dewiness!! This is shade 020. I was colour matched by Dior’s Makeup Artist Jamie Coombes. He is absolutely delightful and is encouraging me to embrace my ‘milky’ (his word) skin and to banish the fake tan forever!

You can try the Diorskin Forever free!

The Dior counter at Selfridges launched a new service for customers wishing to try before they buy with the foundation. Experts will colour match you and then provide you with a generous sample from the all new Dior Dramming Fountain. I checked it out on launch day yesterday.

Good hey? You need to give the consultant your contact info, so they can stay in touch and see how you get on, and then you receive your 3-4 day sample. Some may not like having to hand over their details but it wouldn’t overly bother me.

I also used a touch of Doir’s Skinflash Radiance Booster Pen (005) in the inner corners of my eyes and high on my cheek bones. It is seriously illuminating in a very soft and natural way.

I also had a first try of this amazing new palette from Dior for Spring. This is the 5 Couleurs Garden Edition (441 Garden Pastels).

I used the green and the pale gold on the left. And I popped a little of the pink on to the apples of my cheeks.

I’m afraid I am a little bit in love with everything Dior at the moment! Well actually quite a lot in love. OK… obsessed!

fresh and dewy it is. I love it. I wouldn’t cast off the fake tan indefinitely, i think it’s nice to have a bit variation: ‘milky’ some days, and bronze goddess some other other days. It’s nice to know that when you want to go milky, there is a nice product to enhance that. The delicate yet bright enough golden green is awesome. Would also have wanted to play with this colour first before any of the others.

Am also loving Dior at the moment. I bought those shadows and love them. really must do my blog post. They have so many beautiful things in stock at the moment and am also extremely tempted by the lipstick you have but went for one of the other Spring ones instead… I might go back…

I need a change of foundation but I can’t bear the thought of going through the whole process as there are so many foundations out there! I need both a good liquid foundation and a good compact to keep in my handbag for quick touch ups.

Dior was my first foundation though (and Diorskin Forever certainly looks promising) so maybe it’s time to revisit the counter!
