A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting wonderful facialist and natural beauty aficionado, Abigail James.
Even better, I got to have an amazing Abigail James facial which left me in a zen-like super glowy state! Here I am with Abigail straight after…
|Abigail James – Beauty Guru|
Abigail’s treatments incorporate a range of fast-acting manual skin manipulation techniques – rhythmical massage strokes that have a tranquilising effect, holistic therapies such as facial reflexology, craniosacral therapy and myofascial release that unlock tension in the connective tissue of the face, and Vodder school manual lymphatic drainage work to re-sculpt the face.
Whilst it was super relaxing it was also fairly hard-core as Abigail got to grips with the muscles in my face and I could feel the tension melt away. This is no mean feat as I am really a rather tense person!
Abigail consults for a number of natural, ethical and organic brands such as OSKIA, Live Native and Dr Alkaitis and she used a range of these products on me during the treatment.
I particularly love the Live Native products and am obsessed with the Oil Cleansing Balm and the Mud Mask.
I have the mud mask on as I type and I’m desperately trying not to lick it. Smells sooooooo yummy!
Abigail’s treatments are available in London at Lomax in Victoria and from February 2012 Lomax, Chelsea (www.lomaxpt.com) and OSKIA Spa at Good Vibes, Covent Garden (www.oskiaskincare.com). Home visits are available in the Cotswolds and London and Abigail is also one of the experts at the award-winning Village Barn detox retreat in Oxfordshire (www.village-barn.com).
I have had quite a few facials since I have been writing about beauty and I have to say that this one from Abigail James was certainly one of the best! Visit www.abigailjames.com for more info.
