Origins Mega-Bright Skin Tone Correcting Serum by Dr Andrew Weil

Origins Mega-Bright Skin Tone Correcting Serum by Dr Andrew Weil

I have been using the Origins Mega-Bright serum now for about 4 weeks. I only intended to use it for a couple of weeks so that I could get a feel for the product and let you know my thoughts but I have become a tiny bit hooked!!

This is mainly because it smells absolutely beautiful, feels super comfortable and really does add instant glow to the skin.

I absolutely love using it under my BB creams, particularly my Estée Lauder SPF35 one, however, soon I shall be trying it out the new BB from Origins.

Origins Mega-Bright Skin Tone Correcting Serum by Dr Andrew Weil

The Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins™ Mega-Bright Skin tone correcting serum is all about dealing with ageing from the skin tone and colour perspective. Research has shown that the ageing is more than just a matter of lines and wrinkles and that women age 35 and older rank age spots/discolouration as one of their top three aging skin care concerns.

So Dr. Andrew Weil, a Harvard-trained medical doctor found that inflammation, which can cause irritation in skin, is the root of discolouration. When skin is subjected to UV exposure, oxidative stress or even fatigue, pigment-producing cells are signaled to overproduce and the result can be skin discolouration, dark spots and uneven tone.

Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins™ Mega-Bright Skin tone correcting serum is clinically proven to instantly brighten skin and improve clarity and radiance and also have long term benefits too. You can see the lovely brightness of the serum just on my hand - it is almost pearlescent

It fights the cause of skin discolouration and simultaneously works on existing dark spots and uneven skin tone whilst preventing future development.

The formula contains lots of natural ingredients including Rosa Roxburghii Complex (also known as the The King of Vitamin C). It has highly potent anti-irritant ingredients that prevent melanin production and it's a very strong antioxidant.

After 4 weeks of use, I do feel that my skin is looking much brighter and the serum is perfect to apply straight after I have cleansed with my Clarisonic.

"PROVEN BY SCIENCE - In a 12-week clinical study on a group of adult women with all skin types, Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Bright Skin tone correcting serum proved to instantly brighten skin and improve clarity and radiance. In addition:
•92% showed brighter, more even skin tone in just 4 weeks
•83% showed a visible reduction in appearance of dark spots in 4 weeks"

Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins™ Mega-Bright Skin tone correcting serum is available nationwide and costs £46 for 30mls www.origins.co.uk

  2. Well as you know it's all about Dior Soin Lumière for me! But big fan of serums. Just bought some L'Oréal ones. Can you let me know more about the Estee Lauder BB cream? Though may await the BB BB cream! And when's the origins one launching? Xxx think £46 is expensive for origins. I pay £65+ for Dior one essential, but expect that, so think this price point for origins is a little high. Love your blogs. You're aces xxx

I've also just finished trying a sample of this and have to admit it has already made a difference on my acne scars and hyper pigmentation after just two weeks. The other bonus is that it doesn't break me out, so isn't counteractive in that sense. The serum is just right for my combination skin - it still moisturises and is a perfect base under my BB creme. I agree with Kate though, it's too expensive. Do you have recommendations on a cheaper serum alternative to this? Or do you have any idea how much a full £46 bottle would last?

    1. Hard to say as the bottle isn't see through but I'd say at least 3 months?

Boots have just launched Lift & Luminate Day and Night Serums. I did a post in them here - http://www.reallyree.com/2012/04/no7-lift-luminate-day-night-serum.html
