I had a special tour of John Lewis on Oxford Street newly revamped Beauty Hall today and I can confirm that it is a serious contender for number one beauty destination in London.

An absolute tonne of money has been spent on this transformation, in excess of £7 million I believe, and it really does show. There are 18,000 square feet of all kinds of gorgeousness housing an enormous range of products to suit pretty much every budget and every taste. Oh my goodness... I LOVE IT!
The new concept for the Beauty Hall is based on the idea of a Town Square. The premium makeup and skincare brands are positioned around a central hub of fragrance and niche lines that encompass haircare, skincare and nails. Talking of nails, you'll see from the pictire above that it has OPI sewn up!

Brands include Chanel, Dior, Creme de la Mer and many many more, and John Lewis have managed to negotiate some major exclusives. They are previewing Clinique's Stay Matte Oil Free Makeup right now and also have the exclusive on the latest BB cream on the block, HydraLife from Dior. I shall be reviewing that soon, so stay tuned.
The new Burberry counter is the first time the brand has been sold outside of Harrods and Harvey Nichols...

And check out the Topshop makeup. This is the only place you'll find that outside of a Topshop store.

I think the selection of both Burberry and Topshop highlights the broad spectrum offering now available to John Lewis customers.
It also has the most beautiful Jo Malone shop.

And while we are on the topic of fragrance, John Lewis really have it covered with a Chanel fragrance bar, interactive fragrance board and some seriously beautiful niche brands that you may not have heard about.

The bottle of Floris perfume pictured above is one of just 6 bottles in existence. The Queen has one of them and you can buy this one for £15,000! If you can't manage that John Lewis will sell you bottle for £99 instead.
Obviously £15k is massively extravagant but I think this is a great example of how John Lewis is giving customers access to brands that are less well known than their mass market competitors but equally gorgeous.
What else can I tell you? Well, there is a new Lancome treatment room and a Guerlain treatment room, a hair zone with electricals and wet products and if you just want to stock up on a bit of L'Oreal, you can do that there too. Like I said, something for everyone.
If you love beauty you will adore the new John Lewis Beauty Hall on Oxford Street. And even if you're not that fussed, I still think you'll love it because you'll find exactly what you need.
Are you planning a visit? I definitely recommend you check it out!
