Last night I went along to an amazing beauty tour of the National Portrait Gallery to mark the launch of the brand new Beauty Recommended App from P&G.

Beauty Recommended is P&G's fabbie beauty e magazine that covers all the latest beauty tips and trends using P&G's portfolio of brands including my favourites, Max Factor, Olay and Pantene. I have contributed video content a couple of times in the past!
As you can see from the image, there are four main areas you can explore, and I think the most innovative part is Beauty Spots which provides the opportunity to go on actual, or virtual, guided tours of various places of beauty interest.

I went on the Eye of the Beholder tour last night which was brilliant. If you visit the National Portrait Gallery and take the Beauty Recommended App with you, she can take the tour yourself! There is audio and text to choose from, and if you can't make it to the actual place, choose the video for the full virtual experience.

The 'Inspire Me' section will take you through all the latest trends, while Beauty Tips is like a black book of beauty that you can go to with your questions.

It break the tips into age categories which I don't really approve of, as such, but this is still very trend led and doesn't exclude any particular looks for the various age groups. Experts such as my fave Caroline Barnes, Pat McGrath and other hair, skin, body experts will share their knowledge.
I have been previewing the app and it's tonnes of fun. It is available on both iPhone and Android and will launch on Thursday 14th June 2012.
