OK I need help. I want a new watch. I already have a lot of watches. But I don't have a gold one, and a gold one is what I want (need) right now!
However, I know which one I want but I am struggling with my conscience to justify it, because it isn't cheap, and I do already have a lot of watches.
I am in love with this Marc Jacobs one which is on the ASOS website for £225:

So pretty! I love the coloured crystals so much - this watch is really really calling to me! But it is £225. The thing is, I also really rather like this ASOS own brand gold watch that is just £30. It would definitely do I suppose - for nearly £200 less.

But I don't know what to do!! What if I buy the cheaper one, and then can't stop thinking about the Marc Jacobs one. I will tortured by the thought of it (dramatic I know) and maybe I'll end up breaking and buying it anyway, and will have wasted £30?!
Or maybe I'll be happy ever after with my cheaper one because it has quenched my thirst for a gold watch, and with so many watches already, it really is just the colour that counts.
I DON'T KNOW!! Please help me...
What shall I do?

No contest. It has to be the Marc Jacobs watch. My rose gold Michael Kors watch is my most treasured possession, and I only ever take it off when i'm sleeping or showering. I don't even wear any of my other watches now because i'm so in love with my MK one. Get the Marc Jacobs, you won't regret it, I promise :) xxx
ReplyDeletesnap! love my MK the best got silver version :)
DeleteI love my navy Michael kors it's so different everyone comments on it x
DeleteOoh pretty! I love the quirky face on the Marc Jacobs offering but the Asos version just pips it to the post for the prettiness for me.
ReplyDeleteThat and the date dial (very handy), I'm wearing the Fossil rose gold at the moment though was torn between it and the Michael Kors version but you're right, it was only because I wanted rose gold. 18 months on, I still love it and it still gets complimented regularly.
Try and pretend you've made your decision and see what your gut reaction is, they're both stunning so it really is win/win x
the Marc Jacobs one is obviously amazing but I think the ASOS one looks good for the money! There is a River Island one for £25 which looks pretty similar to the Michael Kors ones, you might want to have a look at that one!

I think you should go for the Marc Jacobs one. It will probably last so much longer and it'll make you feel special every time you wear it. It's a great investment piece :) xx
ReplyDeleteThe Marc Jacobs OF COURSE.... The ASOS one might last you 6-12 months, won't make you TRULY happy, whereas the MJ one will make you giddy whenever you wear it :)
ReplyDeleteThe MJ one 100% it will make you happy and excited whereas the ASOS one won't be good quality, it might just last you 6-12 months..
ReplyDeleteGo for the real deal - so much better in the long run and you'll feel a MILLION dollars when wearing it :)
The Marc jacobs one, it's gorgeous and an investment. Go for it x
ReplyDeleteMarc Jacobs, no contest x
ReplyDeleteMarc Jacobs, no contest. If you buy the ASOS one, every time you look at it, you'll wish it was the Marc Jacobs. I also reckon the ASOS one won't stay 'gold' very long....x
ReplyDeleteI actually prefer the Asos one. I have a problem with wearing massive names on my body. I know its odd, but after looking at something you will get sick of it, especially a brand. Beaverbrooks have beautiful rose gold watches for £199, I think theyre MJ x
ReplyDeleteDon't know why its saying anonymous hope it was just my laptop not refreshing
ReplyDeleteMarc Jacob one is just too gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI prefer the look of the ASOS one. I think it has longevity and it's pretty classy.

I think they both look tacky. I'm not a fan of anything gold though
ReplyDeleteI love the Marc Jacobs one, it's stunning! The ASOS one is nice too but I think the other watch would be worth the investment :) I'm wanting to purchase a Michael Kors watch at some point x
ReplyDeleteMy lovely Ree, let's face facts - you're going to buy the Marc Jacobs one. You won't sleep until you do. And if you are gonna spend £225 on a watch, who cares about another measly £30?? So BUY THEM BOTH! :)
