Backstage with Bourjois for Clements Ribeiro Spring Summer 2013Bourjois for Clements Ribeiro Spring Summer 2013

Yesterday I was absolutely thrilled to repeat the pleasure of going backstage with the wonderful Bourjois team whose head makeup artist, Cassie Lomas, created the London Fashion week look for Clements Ribeiro Spring Summer 2013.

The look, inspired by the sixties film Moonrise Kingdom, is all about "Innocent beauty - Youthful, fresh with a pop of playful Aqua". It's really pretty and a perfect complement to the Clements Ribeiro Spring Summer 2013 collection.

It was surprisingly serene backstage and it seemed that lovely Cassie had everything well under control. Here are some backstage shots...

It was all about the eyes with everything else being very nude. Cassie Lomas said:

“I created the perfect retro shade of aqua, by mixing two Bourjois products together - a creamy Metallise eyeliner pencil in shade Bleu Clinqiant was mixed a little Healthy Mix Concealer into the colour, on the back of my hand, before smudging the shade across the models eyelids. To set the colour I dabbed over a little Bourjois Round Pot eyeshadow new shade 17.

The rest of the makeup was super simple, I blended Bourjois Flower Perfection primer with Healthy Mix Serum foundation, then buffed this product onto the models skin using a fluffy brush. The lips were pared down with a touch of Rouge Edition lipstick, in nude shade 02, patted onto the lips “

It looked amazing and I am definitely going to be trying the mix of that vivid blue pencil with the Healthy Mix concealer. It's such a beautiful effect.

I really enjoyed the show and the backstage experience. Bourjois always has a super special place in my heart as they were the first makeup brand that I ever worked with.Their support really helped to put me on the blogging map. Love them!!

I have some more shots from the show I'll be sharing with you soon, so please stay tuned for that.

  1. love the nails on the 6th picture. like the blue shadow but not a fan of the brows. Only in catwalks and magazines you can see such messy brows, lol x
