Ah it’s another Outfit of the Day! I think you’ll be able to gather by the flurry of this kind of post and distinct lack of product reviews, that I have mainly been dressing up and doing my hair and makeup this festive season!
Well I am definitely enjoying this Christmas! Here is what I wore on Boxing Day for a family party.
River Island Midi Dress and Boucle Jacket
It was quite a casual affair so I decided to go for this fab new stretchy dress and this comfy cosy boucle jacket from River Island. I picked them up during my Christmas preparations!
I absolutely adore both of these. Here is the dress without the jacket – it cost £25.
River Island Tie Dye Midi Dress
I loved this dress the second I saw it but it is the kind of number where you do need to be aware of what is going on with your belly!! There isn’t really anywhere to hide! When I tried it on I was rather conscious of my tummy sticking but loved the look of it when I really sucked it in!
I decided to buy it because I’d been contacted by Playtex who have just launched Objective One Size Down* – a new slimming and anti-cellulite shapewear that is proven to drop centimetres off your tummy, hips and thighs. I hoped they would do the trick… and they did!
I must blog about them properly because they are amazing and I don’t think I can ever wear anything again without these babies on underneath!! So effective, so comfy that I forgot I had them on, and completely undetectable – so it was my little secret! Well until now!
Anyway, back to the outfit! Love love love this jacket too!
River Island Grey Boucle Boyfriend Jacket
It is as warm and comfortable as a cardigan but it makes me feel much more dressed up and glam. Absolutely perfect for me as I am not really a cardy girl. The fit is great – oversized and long-line – and it has pretty pastels running through the fabric. So glad I bought it. It was £35.
The boots are Miss Selfridge (always wear those), necklace is Nelly.com and the bracelets are a mix of Elisha Francis* and With Love*. The watch is my yummy Marc by Marc Jacobs one.
My hair slightly dropped out from Christmas Day but was still holding strong!
By the way, the Playtex magic pants (Objective One Size Down) are out now. I promise to blog about them properly soon!
