This week I went to a super interesting presentation at W Hotel all about a pill called Colladeen Visage that promises to reduce wrinkles, improve elasticity and provide an internal SPF of 10. Interesting!!

I was lured along to the event with questions like these...

After 12 weeks can I really expect to see my wrinkles reduced?

Ok. This is an absolutely perfect lipstick. I love it. It is the Clinique NEW LONG LAST LIPSTICK IN RUNWAY CORAL.

I love it so much, in fact, that I wore it all day yesterday with absolutely no other makeup. Not a scrap!

I felt like it completely brightened my pale complexion and it makes such a statement that my imperfections kind of faded into the background. The pic is instagram'd, as it were, so this is a beautified version I suppose, but you can see what a beautiful colour it is.

I really like Bourjois 10 Day Nail Enamels. They are super glossy, really long lasting and the brush is shaped so that you can easily touch up any wear or chips you may experience after several days.

Shade 26 is part of Bourjois' gorgeous Sweet Paris: Spring Collection 2012 which I am a massive fan of. Check out the other nail shade in ten collection here - it's a gorgeous neon coral that everyone loves.

I have been very excited about trying L'Oreal Paris' new mini nail collection, Color Riche Nail. There are 41 long lasting gel based colours developed by L'Oreal Paris Colour Creative Director Orrea Light. Divine Indigo 609 was the first colour I dived in to!

They have a fab paddle brush that makes it really easy to coat the nail quickly and the colour is super shiny thanks to LiquiGel Technology and a built in crystal acrylic top coat . Now I had a bit of trouble capturing the absolutely stunning purple hue of this shade. It kept coming out more blue than purple on my SLR. But with a bit of fiddling, and a quick shot on my Windows Phone, I think I've got it!

This little beauty is my of my absolute favourite handbag essentials of all time. It's the amazing all singing, all dancing, all illuminating (ok it doesn't dance or sing but it does light up) MODEL MIRROR!!

I completely love it. I am always doing my makeup on the go and with my Model Mirror I don't have to compromise on how well I can see what I'm doing.

The mirror sizes are fab, one side is a regular mirror and the other is 2X magnified (I tend to avoid that side unless it's an emergency!) and it has an amazing set of lights that, when held above as you look into the regular mirror, allows you to see everything you need to, no matter how dark it is. 

When I'm doing my makeup on the train as I go through a tunnel I just flick the switch and keep on going!

OK I am massively cringing right now because I hate to see myself on film, especially in THE most unflattering white t-shirt (that's going straight in the bin!) but check this out if you get a minute.

It's a video I made with Vaseline all about their new 'must have' hand cream. And when I say must have I mean it! It has five key moisturising ingredients plus an anti-bacterial ingredient that kills 99.9% of bacteria. I'm obsessed with germs so this is a serious breakthrough for me! It also smells gorgeous...

It's very different to anything I have tried which is quite exciting because as my days and nights get busier, I am finding that my current deodorants just don't stand up to the job.

See, although not a complete sweat monster, I am a bit of an emotional sweater and I can go from cool, calm and collected to hot, sticky and panting before you can say Jack Robinson (who is Jack Robinson?).

My Bourjous 1 Seconde Nail Enamel Manicure!

Ta da!! Isn't it lovely? I wasn't sure about it in the bottle as it's a see-through red (called Grenadine Tonic No15) but I totally adore it on.  This is two coats and a top coat.

The colour is super vibrant yet you can still see through it which gives a real suggestion of depth. It's super glossy too and I have even been asked if they are gels.

This is probably down to a brilliant reformulation of Bourjois' 1 Seconde Nail Enamel which has a new gel-silicone enriched texture. I love the fan effect brushes which mean you can apply one coat in one stroke.

On Friday night I went to see We Bought A Zoo and I have to say it was my kind of film.

When I say my kind of film, I mean one that has a good man, lovely music and where it's OK to cry... a lot. I do love a good cry! And basically with We Bought A Zoo, I cried a face full of makeup off. It was great! I felt utterly cleansed, if not a little ugly, afterwards. I don't think anyone actually cried, think was more of a case of welling up, but then I never have had much of a handle on the crying game!
