Seriously and pleasantly surprised by this fragrance. It is absolutely dreamy. Enter Jo Malone Earl Grey and Cucumber Cologne.

Jo Malone Earl Grey and Cucumber Cologne Review
I am a fan of Jo Malone but the reason I wasn’t at first sure is because whilst I love Earl Grey tea, cucumber is really not my cup of tea at all! I don’t really enjoy it as a food, and although it is a lovely fresh fragrance, I just associate with my first, incredibly unsophisticated skincare experiences where cucumbers were everywhere. So over that now.

But this cucumber is not like that at all. Jo Malone Earl Grey and Cucumber Cologne opens with Bergamot which is one of my favourite, most uplifting notes. It is sharp and clean and really toughens up the wateriness of the cucumber and makes it really appealing.

The basenotes are Beeswax, Vanilla and Musk which give it a wonderful softness and depth and really hold down zinginess of the cucumber.  It really smells sophisticated and expensive and doesn’t summon up any of my old cucumber associations thank goodness.
Above everything, it smells stunningly clean and fresh and will be the perfect springtime fragrance, although I think I’ll be starting now!
Jo Malone Earl Grey and Cucumber Cologne is £38 for 30ml and £76 for 100ml – new for 2013.

This was on my Christmas wishlist! It was not available on the site then though. So glad that it’s back, love Earl Grey. I wasn’t too keen on the thought of the cucumber as I thought it would overpower the citrus of the tea scent. glad to know it’s okay!
