Well this is a bit unusual isn't it?! I was asked by Dove if I would like to kit my boyfriend out with the Dove Men + Care range, let him give it a whirl and then find out what he thinks about it. Now, if he was a typical lad I would've said no, but the more I have blogged about lotions and potions, the more he has got drawn into the world of skincare, and he is always happy to receive any goodies I don't use. This is really nice and soft - it's like Dove, it feels like Dove! (We have some really lovely creamy Dove body wash). It's really soft and creamy and when you wash it it off, the feeling of softness stays on your skin and you feel like it is still there but in a good way. It makes my skin feel really clean after work (he is a plasterer). You wouldn't get that feeling with normal soap because your skin is left feeling dry. This makes it feel soft. It is much milder than the Clinique men's one you gave me. Oh and you only need a little bit. Don't use too much because you end of with too much lather!

Instantly soothes when you put it on - it feels nice and good. It gets rid of the redness and I quite like putting a bit extra on the redder bit to soothe after it has dried in. It feels really nice. It gets rid of the redness better than any other product I have tried. I was really surprised because I thought you just had to wait for that redness to go. Also the more I have used this, the more effective it has been on the redness. I think that must be down to my skin getting used to a new product.

This is my favourite part of the set. It soaks in (he means sink in) really quickly - some moisturisers just sit on top of your skin - but this one goes in as you rub it in. Some other ones I have tried feel a bit too oily, even though I don't think they have oil in, and they take ages to go in. It's the SPF ones that usually feel heavy at first and take longer to soak (SINK) in, but this has SPF but feels like it doesn't. 1 squirt (!) does the whole face.
If I didn't already get loads of products from Ree, then I would buy all of this again. I know she probably won't get many shave balms so I will definitely buy that. That has become the one that I wouldn't want to skip.
Ah bless him! He took it seriously and he really seems to like the range.

One product he didn't try because he doesn't wet shave is the shaving foam. So I tried that on my legs instead! It's actually very lovely and gives a close shave and doesn't dry out the skin. It doesn't smell too manly either so would make a good unisex product!
