BaByliss Curl Secret – Perfect Curl’s Consumer Version Review

Monday, 24th Jun 2013
Well this is the news I have been dying to tell you! Get ready for the consumer (more affordable) version of the only hair tool that has ever made me cry (good tears for sure) – the BaByliss Pro Perfect Curl. Please welcome the BaByliss Curl Secret! Yay!!
BaByliss Curl Secret – Perfect Curl’s Consumer Version
The BaByliss Curl Secret costs £120 and is available at Boots now. HURRY because I predict a sell out!!!!

This little beauty will do pretty much everything the pro version does and will be available on the high street from July 2013 for £120.

It has 2 heat settings (210 and 230) and 3 timer settings and it automatically alternates the curl direction for a lovely natural looking effect. So the only real difference to the Perfect Curl is that it has a forward, reverse and alternate setting – but to be fair, I have only ever used it on alternate. Oh and the colour – this is a lovely softly metallic aubergine.

Curl Secret works in exactly the same way the amazingly magical Pefect Curl. You place it over a piece of hair where you want the curl to start, close it and the hair magically disappears into the curling chamber. Beeps alert you when your curl is done and you gently release it to reveal perfect curliness!! LOVE!
The is genuinely the biggest thing I have seen in the hair tools market ever. It is incredible. I have tried both tools now – just amazing.
The BaByliss Curl Secret costs £120 and is out now at  Boots now. As I said, you need to be quick!!!

I really want this but I know I shouldn’t because my hair is so thin, a curling wand takes me 5 minutes… Haha!

  2. Hmmm. I wonder if this would work on Asian people’s coarse hair?

Those curls look perfect just like the MacDonald burger in the pics. I am hoping the curls in real life don’t turn out the way the burger does :D

Avoid thos product!! I bought one and hair with it with great results really pleased…until the second time i used it and halfway through my hair got tangled and after 5 minutes of trying to release my hair my boyfriend had to rip it put! There is now a clump of my hair jammed in it! Needless tp say i have complained to babyliss!!

Such a shame you’ve had problems. The only way it gets stuck is if the section isn’t totally clean. I always make sure I comb through the section and pull away any strays that could get tangled up.

Bought it last week, made first two curls (clean, combed hair) and then the styler wouldn’t make any more.Tried putting the smallest section of hair possible and it still wouldn’t work, just kept beeping. No matter what I do, when I press it, it keeps beeping. Switched it offf, tried the next day – same results. Keeps beeping, doesn’t draw the hair in, doesn’t even turn. So will have to send it back. Am very disappointed for such price :(.

Hi Anonymous, I was given one for Christmas and I have had the same problem, worked a couple of times and now it just beeps without doing anything. Curious about what you have been able to do about it.

I did and they said they will contact me, but wth is wrong with such a good thing I wouldn’t be sad if it was burned but it isn’t :( it just stopped working without any reason. It wasn’t broken when it came. If anyone knows any solution for this particular problem please help.

Ive read this shouldnt be used on hair longer than bust length? Is this true

    • Ree ReallyRee September 20, 2013 at 4:05 pm #

Basically you can’t put too much hair in it so if your hair is long start the curl lower down or use smaller sections. Hope that helps
