Top 3 Chocolate Smoothie Recipes For Great Skin

It’s October which means it’s autumn. It also means that winter will soon be on our doorsteps and cold drinks will be replaced with hot drinks. Yes I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking about coffee and hot chocolate!

Chocolate Smoothie Recipes- A Substitute For Hot Chocolate!

I usually prefer not to drink hot chocolate because its full of sugar. I know many people feel the same. What would be more exciting then, than to have a chocolate flavoured drink, but a healthy one? One that was great for your skin and for your health in general?

I love chocolate and can’t imagine my life without it. I am not huge fruit eater as for me to enjoy it it has to be perfectly ripe meaning, it should be sweet. Yes I have sweet tooth!

Here are some smoothie recipes that I have created myself. I’ve created them with chocolate because what is more awesome than having chocolate to make you eat (or drink) fruit?

Please note- Make sure you are not allergic to any on of the ingredients before trying these smoothies, as they contain nuts.

Chocolate Smoothie Recipe 1:

Thing You’ll Need: 

  • Dark Chocolate
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 1 Avocado
  • Handful of Almonds
  • 1/2 Cup Yogurt
  • 1/2 Cup Milk

Method:

  • Blend all the ingredients in a blender or a smoothie maker.
  • Fill up your favourite mason jar.
  • Leave it to warm up to room temperature so you can have it warm in winter.
  • Drink with a straw.

Things You’ll Need:

  • Dark Chocolate
  • Handful of Strawberries, Raspberries and Cranberries
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Handful of Walnuts
  • 1 tsp Coffee

Method:

  • Blend ingredients together, until smooth
  • Add more honey if you feel the need and warm gently if you prefer
  • Enjoy it over a chat with your friends or family

  • 2 Cups of Blueberries
  • 1 Apple
  • 1 Cup of Black Grapes
  • Dark Chocolate
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • Handful of Cashew Nuts
  • Handful of Almonds
  • Handful of Walnuts

Method:

  • Blend all ingredients thoroughly, making sure that the nuts are properly blitzed into the mixture to get a smooth texture
  • Drink warm or cold

 

A smoothie maker or nutribullet is the best thing to use for smoothies as it turns everything into a fine mixture and avoids lumps in the mixture.

Basic Information About The Chocolate Smoothie Recipes Ingredients:

  • Dark Chocolate is great as it contains very little sugar and contains iron and important minerals – really!
  • Honey is great for skin and health in moderations and contains antioxidants.
  • Fruits are full of vitamins and iron
  • Nuts are full of natural oils and heart friendly fats that can help to lower bad cholesterol.
