Clarins just got really really cute!! As a fan of blush and luminising products I was so excited to try the brand new Clarins Skin Illusion Blush line up. There’s also pH adjusting lip balm to enjoy. Here’s a look at this new launch with swatches of all the shades.
Clarins Skin Illusion Blush £16
These new blushes each come in their own little compacts that feature an integral mirror and powder puff to apply the pretty shades. These are all about adding a soft pop of colour whilst imparting radiance. The formula uses active plant ingredients including red algae extract. Pink opal powder delivers comfort to the skin and luminosity. It comes in three shades:
- 01 Luminous Pink
- 02 Luminous Coral
- 03 Golden Havana
As you can see the Golden Havana swatch is much stronger. This is the result of it being slightly more pigmented and that I managed to dip much harder into the pan. I used 01 and 03 here (and wiped off some of 03 on a tissue before applying to my face).
The shimmer is very soft and delivers more of a subtle glow rather than anything you would really call a highlight.
Daily Energizer Lovely Lip Balm £16
In my eyes, Clarins are the experts when it comes to lip care meets colour (think the gorgeous Lip Perfectors), and this comes in a universal shade that reacts with the skin’s pH to deliver a personalised natural pink colour. The formulation is enriched with cocoa butter, shea butter and redcurrant and works to repair and nourish the lips. It has a yummy peach scent and feels super nourishing and soothing on the lips.
The packaging of these products is so adorable. The blushes are emblazoned with ‘love’ and hearts and the balm (which has eco-developed packaging sourced from sustainable forests) is printed with kisses.
The Clarins Skin Illusion Blush & Daily Energizer Lovely Lip Balm are both £16 and will be available from March 2017. Find Clarins HERE.
