The Kat Von D Alchemist Holographic palette launched in the US recently and just keeps selling out! The good news is, it’s coming to the UK too! I have everything you need to know here.
I am super pleased to have my palette because I am obsessed with highlighter and holographic powders are the ultimate in highlighting!
Kat Von D Alchemist Features
- An eye, lip, and face transformer palette
- Four holographic shades
- Can be used to highlight and layer over eyeshadow and lipstick
- Formulated with Double Dimension Technology
- 360° refractive pearls, dipped in a prismatic coating, to double the transformation
- High-quality, densely pigmented pearlescent particles means a little goes a long way
So far, I have only really explored this product as a highlighter and that’s most probably all it will be to me. I love these kinds of shades for highlighting and I think I may prefer this to Anastasia Moonchild Glow Kit because it’s less shimmery and more glowy in an ethereal kind of way. And because it has a more ‘powdery’ quality, it seems better on uneven texture and enlarged pores.
Kat Von D Alchemist Holographic Shades & Swatches
Each shadow is 1.53g:
- Emerald (green)
- Saphyre (blue)
- Amethyst (ultra-violet)
- Opal (pink)
Emerald, Saphyre, Amethyst, Opal:
As I said, I haven’t been overly adventurous with trying this out on my eyes and lips, but I really like it as a highlight. It has a powdery texture which actually works well on the skin and stops it from exacerbating large pores and uneven texture. This does also mean there’s a little fallout but I’d recommend a light hand anyway as a little goes a long way.
I mainly used the Opal here, with Saphyre right on the tops of my cheekbones. Sorry about the dressing gown. I often get the urge to play with more makeup once I am in my PJs.
