Revlon ColorBurst Crayons: Lacquer Balms and Matte Balms Review, Photos, Swatches

Revlon has just gone completely crayon crazy, and it’s all good. Alongside the existing Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains, which are being re-launched as the Revlon ColourBurst Crayon Balm Stains, we have 2 brand new finishes. Get ready for 10 Lacquer Balms and 10 Matte Balms!
First up, the Revlon ColorBurst Crayon Lacquer Balms.
Revlon ColorBurst Crayon Lacquer Balms
These are high shine with large particle shimmer lip colours – intense pigment, great moisturisation and a lightweight feel. There are 10 new shades: Demure, Coquette, Whimsical, Vivacious, Flirtatious, Tease, Provocateur, Coy, Ingenue and Enticing.
And here are all those shades of the ColorBurst Crayon Lacquer Balms quickly swatched for  you:

Also brand new are the Revlon ColorBurst Crayon Matte Balms. I think these are my faves!

The Matte Balms are all about a highly pigmented, velvety matte finish but with all the moisturising power of the Balm Stain signature formula.
The shades are Elusive, Unapologetic, Shameless, Showy, Sultry, Complex, Mischievous, Striking, Audacious and Standout. Here they are swatched:

The colours are seriously incredible and I have heard great things from makeup artists that used these with Gucci Westman at Fashion Week. They are matte but not at all drying. I can’t wait to get them on my lips.
And just in case you’re in need of an introduction to the original Revlon lip crayons, formally known as the Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains, here are the Revlon ColorBurst Crayon Balm Stains.

Shades Honey, Crush, Cherish, Lovesick, Rendezvous and Romantic are swatched below:

Romantic is actually one of my favourite lip colours. Check it out HERE.
So what a lip collection that is!! All the formulas within the Revlon ColorBurst Crayon Collection contain the Triple Butter Complex of Shea, Mango and Coconut Butter and have a light peppermint fragrance.
The new Matte Balms and Laquer Balms don’t launch until 22nd January 2014 at Boots (then 18th February 2014 at Superdrug) and at the same time the Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains will become the Revlon ColorBurst Crayon Balm Stains (have I stressed the name change enough?!!).

What intense colours… I also thought lip balms wouldn’t quite have enough colour.
