Yes!! I have finally had a chance to play with the brand new foundations from The Ordinary Colours and I have a colour match and samples in both the formulations! Here are the The Ordinary Colours Foundation swatches. Enjoy!!
Before I start, you should know that even though both these foundations are under £6 each, they are such hot property that some of the samples have been stolen from the Deciem Spitalfields store! This is pretty funny apart from the fact that it means I am missing a couple of shades in my swatch library, but hey, what can you do? This product is super scarce right now – there are no samples or stock in the UK at all, apart from the testers and the two foundations I have here in my shade! I am SO excited!!!
I have The Ordinary Colours Coverage Foundation and the Serum Foundation in shade 1.2N and I’ll have before and after photos to share with you in an upcoming post.
But first, swatches!!
The Ordinary Colours Foundation Swatches
As I said, there are a couple of gaps, but I have the majority of shades here for you to check out. Just so you know, the shades are pretty much identical across the two different formulations.
- N = neutral tone
- P = pink tone
- Y = yellow tone
- R = red tone
- NS = neutral silver
- YG = yellow gold
1.0N, 1.0P, 1.0NS:
1.1N, 1.1P, 1.1Y, 1.1YG:
2.0N, 2.0YG, 2.1P::
I literally can’t wait to share before and after photos of both the foundations with you. I thought I was going to prefer the Serum Foundation but I think maybe it’s the Coverage foundation I like! You can make up your own mind when I show you them both.
Also, a note about the packaging. There have been a few changes and it seems that it has now been decided that the Coverage Foundation will come with a pump included (this was previously going to be available separately). I haven’t seen the pumps yet.
The Serum Foundation SPF 15 (£5.70 30ml) has been developed to be a natural-looking medium coverage foundation with a very lightweight serum texture. It will come with a screw cap and an optional dropper dispenser will be available to purchase for 30 pence.
The Coverage Foundation SPF 15 (£5.90 30ml) is a rich in pigment, non-oily cream textured foundation that offers a high coverage yet natural finish that never appears heavy on the skin. This is the one that comes with a pump.
I hope you found The Ordinary Colours Foundation swatches useful. As most of you will be purchasing online, I think it should help. The foundations are available to order HERE now!
