Tom Ford Sole Di Positano Eau de Parfum Review

I am a huge fan of Tom Ford fragrance and every time I wear one I get compliments on how good I smell. It is like a guarantee. Because of this, I always get excited to try a new addition to the collection and Tom Ford Sole Di Positano Eau de Parfum joins the Private Blend Neroli Portofino Collection for spring and summer 2017. Here are the details.

I love the bottles for this collection. It is so dazzling and fresh-looking and sight of it instantly makes me summon up a couple of my faves – Mandarino Di Amalfi and Fleur de Portofino. They are fresh, bright and sparkling – everything I need to feel uplifted during the summer months.

Tom Ford Sole Di Positano Eau de Parfum Notes

Sole Di Positano is the seventh Eau de Parfum to join the Tom Ford Neroli Portofino collection and it features my favourite citrus and one of my most loved fragrance notes, Bergamot. I find it so motivating and dynamic. It really gets me going. In fact, Bergamot is considered to be the most decadent of the citrus family.

TF describe this as a “bright new dimension bursting with a luxurious mélange of sun-drenched citrus.” Literally makes my mouth water!! Smell this and you are transported to the sparkling Italian coast in the most luxurious way possible!

This a green, citrus, floral fragrance:

  • Top notes – Italian bergamot, bitter orange, mandarin and lemon
  • Heart notes –  shiso leaf, orange blossom, ylang-ylang, jasmine, lily of the valley and neroli
  • Base notes – soft musk and green moss

It is beautifully bright and fresh and is instantly invigorating and enlivening. The floral element reminds me of Fleur de Portifino but it is a little less sweet. It has a lovely creaminess from the Ylang-ylang oil which is balanced with the sharpness of shiso leaf.

What I really love about it (apart from the amazing sunniness of the bergamot) is the soft and sensual dry down of the moss and musk in the base notes. It becomes deeper, darker and more sensual as it lingers on the skin. I am really excited to wear this as the summer hots up!

Tom Ford Sole Di Positano Eau de Parfum is £155 for 50ml HERE and HERE.
