For us, it’s all about the beauty at the Grammys and this year’s red carpet didn’t disappoint with a multitude of looks to suit every style. Whilst we didn’t see a look we couldn’t love amongst all the gorgeous faces, these are some of our favourite hair and makeup styles from the Grammys 2017.
Katherine McPhee kept her look stunningly simple in a Thai Nguyen Atelier dress and gorgeously glowing skin. Celebrity hairdresser Chad Wood slicked her hair back into a sleek ponytail allowing all focus to be be on her makeup in a look created by makeup artist Kindra Mann. Her skin was kept natural and glowing with just the lightest shimmer for highlighter and a natural blush, whilst her eyes took centre stage with a glitter shadow and subtle flick of eyeliner.
Adele didn’t just win awards at the Grammys she won in the beauty stakes too. Her delicately tousled updo was created by Chris Appleton using a Dyson hairdryer. Her makeup, by celebrity makeup artist Michael Ashton, featured her signature cat eye, and used Ole Henrisksen skincare and Marc Jacobs cosmetics in a warm palette of peaches, amber and pale coral to keep all the focus on the eyes.
It was all about the eyes and hair for Rhianna in this look created by Yusef Williams. As well as orange tones blended through the smokey eyes, auburn highlights were added to her hair to play against her brightly coloured top. Her lips were kept neutral so as not to compete and her soft flowing waves and subtly toned makeup were the perfect contrast to her vibrant outfit.
4. Camila Cabello
This gorgeous look with makeup created by Allan Face and hair by Marcus Francis takes loose tumbling waves and youthful, pretty makeup to the next level. Whilst it’s the hair that steals the show for us, we love the subtle tawny oranges of her eye makeup and the peach blush. Her lips are superbly contoured with the darker pinky brown outer edge subtly graduated into the lighter pink centre, helping to emphasise her already gorgeously full lips.
5. Elle King
The Grammys is all about pushing the boundaries and this look by Elle King does just that. Whilst there’s a tiny bit of the Snapchat filter about the Lirika Matoshi headband, we love the tumbling curls, flushed cheeks and glittery eyes. The spring-like floral of her Teuta Matoshi Duriqi dress and the rose petal flushed lips keep things natural and fresh, working perfectly together to create a soft, almost bridal look.
