CLOSED. We Bought A Zoo Review and Giveaway. CLOSED.

On Friday night I went to see We Bought A Zoo and I have to say it was my kind of film.
When I say my kind of film, I mean one that has a good man, lovely music and where it’s OK to cry… a lot. I do love a good cry! And basically with We Bought A Zoo, I cried a face full of makeup off. It was great! I felt utterly cleansed, if not a little ugly, afterwards. I don’t think anyone actually cried, think was more of a case of welling up, but then I never have had much of a handle on the crying game!
Keep reading to find out how to win a Spa Detox package.

Matt Damon is lovely in it. But don’t be expecting ‘Bourne’ Matt Damon. Oh no this is a different Matt Damon all together. This is Daddy Matt Damon, an older, chunkier version. And what a lovely Daddy he makes!
There were sad tears and happy tears, for humans and animals. But ultimately it’s a very positive and heart-warming story that will give you a good feeling. Even Scarlett Johansson didn’t annoy me as much as she usually does, although I do think there could be more appropriate casting choice for a Zoo Keeper. But hey ho… I went with it!
The kids in it are seriously cute with not too many overly cute moments, and a very sweet example of young, blossoming love. Bless them… There’s even a nice estate agent – actually one of my fave characters.
It’s basically all about having 20 seconds of insane courage that will change the rest of your life and make good things happen. It does make you think about how you could change your life and have a totally new adventure.
I had my 20 seconds a few years back when I completely changed my life and there are ups and down, but generally things just keep getting better. I think soon it’s time for another 20 seconds. I am just not sure what it is yet!!
Check out We Bought A Zoo on facebook here.

The film looks great 🙂 I love zoos so I’m sure I’ll love it!

20 seconds of courage … I’d go straight into my favourite literary agent’s office and pitch my book to her! I’ll still be sending out my manuscript the normal way of course, but sometimes you need a bit of courage to go against the curve and try and get things done!

I have always wanted to get into environmental management and conservation, and have done a few courses and volunteering here and there, but I have been too scared to try and get a job in it, but my dream would be to do that and really make a difference doing something I love one day 🙂

To wear a beard of bees for twenty seconds, I am terrified of bees/wasps so it would take 20 seconds of insane courage from me and it would change my life as my fear is really crippling in the summer!

To go out dancing and really get go- I don’t know what my issue is but I just can’t cut loose!
Also, to speak in my seminars as I get tongue tied.. ‘Shyness is nice but shyness can stop you, from doing all the things in life you’d like to..’

I’ve already upped sticks and moved countries twice, travelled the world, been skydiving, bungy jumping, and set up my own company, so for my 20 seconds of insane courage I would go BASE jumping from a mountain top, or sky surfing. Well, you did say ‘INSANE’ courage… 😉 @Jax2000

I’d start writing that novel that I’ve been promising myself for years. I’m held back by the fear of almost certain rejection from publishers.

I would love to set up a refuge for young women and men who find themselves in difficult situations, either through street working or abandonment by their families. There are so many sad stories I have come across through work but feel helpless due to constraints placed on me.

Sell our house and take our girls travelling for a couple of years while they’re still young enough to want to be with us 🙂 I could teach them myself but imagine the life experience they would have 🙂

My boyfriend are currently toying with the idea of upping sticks, buying a camper van and travelling around the country in the hope of finding somewhere where we feel we belong and want to call home. We want to have the courage to make choices based on happiness rather than money and work.

Pack my 70 litre rucksack and fly out to Nepal, spend sometime trekking, meditate, using my Reiki helpfully, taking photos, living simply and away from (gasp) technology, see if anybody misses me other than the Council Tax office 😉

I’d save a life. My 20 seconds of courage would see me changing my life by saving another. I don’t know how and I don’t know when, but I will do this someday!
