If you’re anything like me, during these colder months your hands will be suffering. Dry, cracked and sore hands are the norm especially if you spend any time outside. As well as dry, dehydrated hands, my nails and in particular the skin around my nails, really suffers in winter. My usually fairly soft hands turn in to a pair of old leathery handbags! The skin around my nails and even my nails themselves are also very dry, rough and my hang nails are a whole issue in themselves.
Of course the answer is to wear gloves when outside and apply a good hand cream as often as you can, particularly after hand washing. And I do this, but as I wash my hands a lot, normal hand creams don’t last long and after washing my hands are left feeling stripped and dried out again.
Botanicals Hand Balms will solve this. I have been trying out two of their Hand Balms – the Lemongrass and the Wild Rose and I have been so impressed by this hand treatment.
The balms come in handy 30g size glass jars. So, they’re a perfect handbag size and to have in your bathroom or on your desk.
The balm warms up into an oily, silky texture when massaged in to your hands. Because these are a balm it takes a couple of seconds longer to massage and for them to sink into your hands. However, I like this because it means you really massage your hands, and inhale the refreshing, uplifting scent.
The balm sinks in and leaves a silky feel, which lasts even after washing my hands. My hands have never felt and remained this hydrated and smooth for so long.
The balm is also working wonders on my nails and the skin around them. My bare nails are noticeably smoother, hydrated and just healthier looking. And since using these balms, I’ve had no annoying loose bits of dry skin around my nails.
Botanicals Wild Rose Hand Balm – Deeply conditioning and packed full of anti-oxidant rich oils and butters. This all natural balm has organic shea butter, apricot, jojoba oils, rosehip and green tea.
Botanicals Lemongrass Hand Balm – Made with organic shea butter, infused with lemongrass and mandarin to help heal and regenerate new skin cells.
Both of these balms smell gorgeous. The Lemongrass just pips it as my favourite because I use it at work and its refreshing, clean scent is so up-lifting.
