If you are looking for a vanilla-based fragrance that isn’t sweet but instead super sensual and musky, then this is it! Check out the very beautiful Boucheron Vanille de Zanzibar.
Boucheron have created a brand new fragrance collection that takes its inspiration and ingredients from across the world, and every one is stunning. My favourite is Boucheron Vanille de Zanzibar, however, I also love Ambre d’Alexandrie, Neroli D’Ispahan and Tubereuse de Madras. Actually I love them all!
Boucheron Vanille de Zanzibar Notes
“Where sky meets the sea, Zanzibar, Africa’s Wild Pearl… island of abundance with its aromas of spice.” This is the most rounded vanilla I have smelt and it has warm, almost earthy, animalistic notes that make it so full and balanced.
“An oriental vanilla woody, voluptuous and addictive”:
- Top Notes – Mandarin, Jasmine, Pear
- Heart Notes – Bourbon Vanilla, Balsam of Peru, Heliotrope
- Base Notes – White Musks, Sandalwood and Patchouli
This is such a different vanilla fragrance and I find it super sexy. It blends into the skin wonderfully and dries down to a powdery, milky, almost caramel-honey scent balanced out with soft wood and spicy notes with a hint of tobacco. It is delicious and every time I have worn it I have received compliments. I like those!
Also, I love the bottle. It is decadently heavy and super chic. Just removing the lid and replacing it again feels like a luxurious ritual.
Boucheron Vanille de Zanzibar is £175 for 125ml and launches alongside the five other fragrances that make up The Boucheron Collection. You will find it exclusively at Harrods, although it hasn’t yet gone online.
