Fair 2, Fair 3 and Medium 5:

It is a beautiful creamy texture that melts into the skin covering imperfections and brightening the appearance of the complexion as it goes. I love it – I knew I would.

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Ingredients

Water, hydrogenated polyisobutene, hydrogenated didecene, glycerin, trimethylsiloxysilicate, cetyl peg/ppg-10/1 dimethicone, palmitoyl glycine, albizia julibrissin bark extract, methicone, sodium chloride, polymethylsilsesquioxane, hydroxyacetophenone, lauryl peg-8 dimethicone, disteardimonium hectorite, hydrogenated styrene/isoprene copolymer, hdi/trimethylol hexyllactone crosspolymer, propanediol, 1 2-hexanediol, caprylyl glycol, tocopheryl acetate, trisodium ethylenediamine disuccinate, tephrosia purpurea seed extract, lauroyl lysine, talc, darutoside, [may contain (+/-) iron oxides (ci 77491 ci 77492 ci 77499)], titanium dioxide (ci 77891).

There are some great ingredients in there that prevent water loss, help maintain collagen, and boost radiance, and also a great combination of different elements that make the formula nice and long-wearing.

I love the delivery system – the sponge applicator suits the formula perfectly and you simply swipe it on and then tap into the skin for complexion perfection.

Before & After

I thought I would show you Magic Away on top of a minimal base. Here I have a very light layer of tinted moisturiser:

I love what this does to my skin. It’s amazing that it works as well on the under-eye area as it does on blemishes and redness. What a dream! It has an almost elastic texture that stretches over the skin, smoothing everything out, with a lovely luminous finish which, of course, I love. It is fabulous.

The Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Liquid Concealer is £24 and is available exclusively HERE now.

Charlotte Tilbury Foundation Shade Extensions

In terms of the shade extensions for the existing foundations, Magic Foundation is getting 5 new shades and will now be available in now 20 shades in total. Light Wonder is getting 2 new shades (1.5 and 4.5) and will be available in 12 shades in total. They launch at the same time as Magic Away and Charlotte’s Genius Magic Powder.

  1. Hi Ree Which shade of the magic away did you use? Also do you know what numbers of the magic foundation will be added to the line? I wish the retoucher was bottled as a foundation 🙂 I personaly prefer the lightwonder foundation as it is glowy dewy and very forgiving but the retoucher is great to cover a little bit of redness. It would be perfect as light to medium foundation. The magic foundation is a bit too dry for my skin but mixing magic and light wonder foundation together helps. What do you think. Which do you prefer?

    1. I used shade 3 – I don’t have info on the new Magic shades yet. Yes I love mixing Magic and Light Wonder – both in shade 3. Long lasting and glowy xx

  2. I’m so excited for the concealer to be released! And Light Wonder is one of my favourite foundation formulas, but struggled to get a match with shade 1 or 2 – is there any more info on the new shade 1.5 Ree? (Hoping it’s a fair yellow tone!) Thank you! x

  3. Hi Ree, thank you for this information. Will this concealer replace the Retoucher and/or the Mini Miracle Eye Wand? I’m glad to see the foundation shades extended. I wear Light Wonder (shade 2) and love the shade and coverage; Magic Foundation was too dry for me.

    1. I’m not entirely sure but I have a feeling it will as the retoucher is out of stock on the CT site. Will confirm once I know for sure xx

  4. Any news on the new shades yet. I struggle with Magic foundation and have to mix shade 5 which is the right undertone for me but too fair. Shade 7 makes me look jaundiced as it’s too yellow, shade 6 way too fair and shade 8 way too dark so I mix 5 and get samples of 8 to mix in. I’m praying for a shade 7.5!!! I’m half Indian with olive neutral undertones and currently in nc 35 in Mac.
