So if you haven’t been back to school for a while, this is a discovery experience you will absolutely love! I took my best friend Vikki down to the Floral Street store on King Street in Covent Garden to meet with the brand’s expert Bridal FLORISTA and go on a journey to discover her perfect scent for her special day. It was an absolutely wonderful experience and she enjoyed a relaxed glass of fizz and some macaroons whilst she got to know what she liked and learnt about the range.
Floral Street was founded beauty industry powerhouse, Michelle Feeney who says, “Since opening our Floral Street store we have found many brides want a personalised service for their wedding. We have developed a wedding Scent School to help the bride and the entire wedding party choose how they, and the venue, want to smell on the big day.”
Floral Street Bridal Scent School Experience
The entire experienced is personalised for each bride or member of the bridal party. Vikki started off by describing her wedding and the vibe she wanted to create and then the Bridal Florista took her through lots of different fragrance notes to help her pinpoint what it was about particular fragrances she loved. She used sensorial touchpoints of colour, style and smell, to pair her with the ideal scent.
Smell is a super complex sense. The fragrance industry can be pretty intimidating at times, but this made it really relatable and easy to understand. That’s what I love most about it.
The next part of the discovery was the fragrance layering. Vikki was given a hand treatment using the Wild Vanilla Orchid Body Lotion from Floral Street’s brand new Bath and Body line, and the two fragrances each were layered on top to help work out which worked best on her skin.
After this little pamper, Vikki confidently chose Black Lotus, which is absolutely stunning. It’s the perfect deep yet romantic soft floral. It was so exciting!
The Eco-Luxe Packaging
What’s really special about Floral Street is the packaging which is eco yet still really luxe. Its fragrance comes packaged in a pulp carton which is 100% recyclable, 100% biodegradable and 100% compostable. And its bath and body range is packaged in a sleek, boldly-coloured tube made from sustainable sugar cane bioplastic. It looks super chic and modern, and won’t harm the environment.
Also, you can pick up matching scented stationery to use during and after your big day for really evocative gifts and thank you notes. If you’re around the Covent Garden area, you should definitely pop in. It’s such a beautiful store and has such a welcoming atmosphere.
You’ll need to book for the Floral Street Bridal Scent School which can be done by phone: 0207 836 3366, or by email: firstname.lastname@example.org. The service costs £20 per person, includes a glass of champagne and a goody bag to take away.
Also, just to let you know. This new brand is going great guns and launched at John Lewis last week. So you’ll be able to check out the range there too.
