I was really excited to try out the brand new Lancome Grandiose Mascara because it truly is like nothing I have ever seen before. That is always exciting! I actually used Lancome Hypnose exclusively for years and years so I already had faith that Lancome know their stuff when it comes to mascara.
First up, I really do like the packaging. It has a beautiful rose design encapsulated in the lid and it feels really good to hold – nice and heavy but not too heavy. And then of course we get on to the wand which really is what this is all about!
So Lancome Grandiose Mascara has a curved wand, in the shape of a swan neck, with a short, compact brush with short precision bristles. It has been designed to make application really easily. And you know what? It really is very easy to apply and very quick too.
Lancome Grandiose Mascara After Photo
I used the brush with the curve facing down and brush angled under the lashes to push them up. And push them up it did! This is instantly lengthening and the angle of the wand makes it seriously simple to catch every lash straight away. You get a pretty dramatic result without much effort at all. I am always impressed when my lashes touch my eyebrows!
I will show you some before and after photos so you can see the difference.
Lancome Grandiose Review – Before & After Photos
It is pretty impressive! I can get something like this result with other mascaras but by no means as quickly and as easily; so it certainly does deliver on its claims. I also really like the formula – it is wet as it goes on, but dries very quickly and I had no problem with smudging. It kept a curl in the lashes really well and the depth and intensity of the pigment stayed true.
It is pretty easy to get off – I used my Melvita Cleansing Oil. You do see how much product is manages to pack onto the lashes in such a short time, as I was surprised at how black my eye area went during the cleansing process. It all came off cleanly though which I was really pleased about.
I think the Lancome Grandiose Mascara is definitely worth a try because it is so quick and easy to use. I hope that we see more of this style of brush because it’s safe to say this it’s really effective and not just a gimmick. Good work Lancome! Find it at Boots for £24.50.
