So when they say this foundation is longwearing, they are not messing around. I have had a swatch on my arm all day, and I literally couldn’t even rub it off. It’s pretty amazing. I had to go in with proper makeup remover to get it off!

What finish is Smashbox Full Coverage 24 Hour Foundation?

I was matched to shade 2.15  which is described as light with cool undertone:

By the way,  if you usually follow my shade choice, be warned, this is slightly darker than I’d normally go for but I have recently dyed my hair darker and am wearing a lot more fake tan than usual.

How To Use Smashbox Full Coverage 24 Hour Foundation

So you can use this foundation in a couple of ways. If you want a more natural looking, yet still flawless coverage, you can mix this with one of Smashbox’s primers. When I had the demo, my artist mixed the foundation with the Primerizer which is such a brilliant product!

If you want a fuller, even more flawless coverage, then you can use the foundation on its own. I’d suggest starting with a very small amount and then blending it out.

Also, the bonus is that this is like a two in one foundation and concealer. Mix it for all over coverage, and use neat for targeted concealing.

Before & After

So as you can use the Smashbox Full Coverage 24 Hour Foundation a couple of ways, I thought I’d show you both.

Before (with Primerizer applied):

2.15 mixed with a generous amount of Primerizer:

2.15 applied neat over lots of serum and a very generous layer of Primerizer:

Here’s how it looked with full makeup after I had it applied at Smashbox, mixed with Primerizer:

I will definitely be mixing this with a primer or oil when I wear this to sheer it down as it is too matte and opaque for me alone. If you want something super longlasting, with maximum coverage and a really flawless, matte finish, you will love this on its own. It also doubles as a concealer and doesn’t require a powder as it dries down itself.

I wore it for 9 hours yesterday and it didn’t budge a bit. The staying power is pretty unreal.
