I literally couldn’t wait to try out the brand new Dior Forever Skin Glow foundation. I already rate Forever, but a glowy version? Yes please! Here’s the lowdown with swatches and before and after photos.
To be fair, the sensible thing to do would have been to try the new velvet matte version of Forever foundation and compare it to the original but, being me, I just couldn’t resist the lure of the new Dior Forever Skin Glow. I mean, if I was changing my name, I’d kind of like to include the word glow if I could!
This new glowy formula has been created for those with dry skin, combination skin and those seeking a radiant, dewy finish. I am all of that!

It has a gorgeous creamy texture that I absolutely love. It melts into the skin beautifully.
Before & After
So on to the best bit! How does it look on the skin? I have the before and after photos here, but the quick answer is, lovely!
So here’s the before photo with no makeup:
And here is shade 2N applied all over:
I really like it! It is very perfecting – great on pores, great on redness, great on pigmentation, and it leaves a nice natural glow. It’s not so glowy that it leans over to greasy. In fact, I don’t even feel like I really need to powder it as it still has a kind of soft, ever-so-slightly matte fusion with the skin that seems to set itself in place. So the shine-free glow description is pretty spot on.
It makes my skin look nice and smooth and hydrated, and I can feel it on my skin. So it’s not weightless like the new Hourglass Vanish Liquid, but I prefer it because the Hourglass is too matte for me. Also, I am not sure I have the right colour match because 2N looked really good at first, and then it got a little darker shortly after application. I like something a little lighter and brighter, so maybe I need a different shade. It works if I don’t go crazy with the bronzer though.
With a name like Dior Forever Skin Glow, I did actually expect it to be a little glowier on application. However, it does get a bit more glowy as you wear it which makes me happier. It wears well. There’s a bit of transfer if you don’t powder it, but I am fine with that because, I don’t always like the feel of powder on my skin. It probably does need powder though. I am going to wear it for a few days, but I still think I prefer my Deauville Nars. That could change though, so feel free to ask any questions any time! I am pretty sure if I had a slightly lighter shade that I’d love it more.
I’m excited to try the new matte version of Forever and see how I get on with that compared to the original, so I’ll get back to you with that as soon as I can.
